- Certifications in Leadership, Chainsaw Operations, Blue Card (State Drivers), and a Class B CDL.
- Opportunity to provide 48 hours of community service during their year
- Scholarship eligibility for college or vocational school tuition
- Opportunities for promotion within the crews or to join the special Prop 39 Energy Crew providing energy audits and retrofits to school districts in the Bay Area
- Internship opportunities at CalTrans with tree crews and electricians, as well as at Central Coast Energy Services providing home weatherization for low-income houses
